Hi, I just wanted everyone to know I have finished the first DVD about Anawalt, Jenkinjones and area. I have a page that you can go to and order the DVD It is 20.00 + shipping 5.99 This one is selling so good that I am in the process of doing another one of different pictures, and other intersting thing about the area. My best memories of Jenkinjones is the little school. There were seven of us kids and we all had the same teachers each year. Playing ball in the school yard and hitting it so hard it went through the church window. Or having to fish it out of the creek. Riding my bike or roller skating untill it grew dark and the streets were so safe. If your parents were not around to help you or correct you one of the neighbors would. If someone was gone you just go in their house and borrow a cup of sugar. The doors were never locked and you always returned it. Christmas was wonderful with a big family we did not get much but we had a lot of happiness. We got one big thing like a bike or a sled and everyone shared. I wish I could go back to those happy carefree days where Carolyn Hall and Lonnie Hellmandoller and I would go to the top of the mountain and picnic on the knoll or swing off the cliff on the grapevine swing. Or eat berries until we were sick. God did make West Virginia a little like heaven back in those days.

one of my fond memories is living at Jenkinjones and skatening on the sidewalk from number 6 six store down to number 8 and jumping some of the cracks in the sidewalk. How many of you remember doing this. fun ,fun fun.
